| Opening morning of 2nd rife season here in Colorado, GMU 8, about 7:45 AM I got my first big game animal, first elk, first bull. He wasn't huge, but there is meat in the freezer, and a set of antlers hanging in my garage! It was quite an adrenalin rush! He had three cows with him and they all walked by us at about 100 ft. I'm already looking forward to next year. |

Dude, you are now hooked for life! :D
That's a great looking bull and seeing all the success you 2nd season fellers are having is making me long for next year as well.
Cheers |

Cool :thumbsup1: That is usualy the make it or break it moment. Some will kill big game and never hunt big game again. and then there are those that are hooked for life.

| Thanks everyone. I just wanted to share my first kill - it was such a rush. I feel like a little kid at an amusement park saying "I want to do it again" :D This guy made it easy for me this year (except the hauling him out part), he and his cows walking so close to us. I look forward to many more in the years to come - that includes some deer and antelope as well! |
