| If the hunter density is high, hunt escape routes, rather than the "traditional" food sources and what not. Deer will start to scatter and get pushed. You will have a good chance to see deer escaping the push by other hunters. Also, get in your spot and stay there. You will have an oppertunity to see deer that are pushed/bumped by the guys that get off stand at 9am to have coffee, and then again at 1, when they start doing drives. I have hunted high hunter-density areas and have had success with these tactics. Also, deer hunters are not the only hunters that move deer. I have seen deer bumped by duck/goose hunters, pheasant hunters, and recreational foot traffic. |
