I am just curious if anyone is seeing much deer movement yet? My brother and I have land and feeders and cameras set up up around Clay Center and have alot of Does coming in at night at my stand and alot coming in in the afternoon at my brothers stand but we have yet to see any bucks feeding or any bucks out running around yet, it seems like usually we see more deer by now including bucks by this time of year while out cutting soy beans up there.
I know its still early for them to start rutting, but pre rut should be starting here anytime and they should start running does, shouldn't they? Or atleast feeding in prep for the rut...
Anyone else got better sightings???? |

i hunt near the cimmaron river in harper county OK. been bowhunting the past two weeks. ive seen tons of does, roaming around all day, mostly coming off wheat in the mornings into crp grass.
ive seen one quality buck, and was bedded down in the middle of a field. i agree w/ you though the buck activity down here seems to be lacking as well. hopefully the recent cold weather will get them moving. |
