If I still lived in BC I'd go with you. :D

Yugo.....I have been forced to go on solo sheep and goat hunts, heck all kinds of hunts on my own over the years. I got real tired of having guys back out all the time or not being able to find anyone to go, so I just started doing it on my own.

Takes a bit more planning and you need to have your family on tap with dates and locations, etc. but it is doable. I actually like it. Lots of time to think and I don't have to spend a lot of time caping out everyone elses heads because they can't or refuse to learn how.

why would you leave B.C. best hunting around lol

Yugo.........no I didn't find them to be a big deal. As long as you have the right equipment and pack right. Climb up, do some glassing, set up a spike camp and then go from there. Pack a few things so you could stay out if you had to. Heck these days you can take a sat. phone and a GPS. No problem for people to find you if you did get in a wreck. You just need to take things slow and you do not take chances at all.....just use your head and stay safe. It is not a big deal.

BC................too damn many people now for my tastes and the price of land is ridiculous. Still go out to visit family, but I usually return depressed with all of the development, beetle kill and well....................it just isn't like it was when I was a young fella. I'd have to move up to the Atlin country to be happy and even then there would be too many damn tourists in the summer.
