Here is Ron's buck he got with his bow in November. It is definitely the same buck as the sheds I got this spring. I showed Ron the sheds I found this last spring and it is the same buck. The eyeguards are both the same and the trash is the same except on the other side this year. This buck scored 189 5/8.
What do you think of it.....

Nice buck, I'm sure Ron was happy although he looks kind of cold in the picture. :smile:
It is a great rack, but that buck has a pretty good sized body on him too. Definitely healthy.

| Bit Ron said that buck had zero fat on him and his teeth where worn down. Either we where going to have another mild winter or it was his time. Who knows but looks healthy to me. He was with 8 doe's so maybe he was a little tired.LOL |

The story went like this.
Ron brother shot a deformed spike out there in the morning and it was cool enough that they stayed out there to see if they could find some other bucks and they spotted this buck bedded with some doe's. They put the stalk on him. They where getting close and figured it was right on the other side of the hill and they where crawling towards them when Ron slapped eddie foot because he saw ears coming over the hill. Eddie froze on all fours and Ron used Eddie to hide behind and to get a arrow nocked. He saw some more doe's cresting the hill and saw these horns. the doe's all stopped and where staring at them. Eddie was still froze in place with Ron behind him ready to draw. The buck started coming up and was sniffing some doe's. He stopped broadside at about 35 yds. Ron drew back and a doe saw him move so it stepped back and was in front of the buck. Ron said he held forever and finally the doe moved and he put the pin on him and released. It was blowing pretty good and he hit it alittle far back. It blew out of there with the doe's but they could tell he was hit hard. The buck was hanging back and couldn't keep up with the doe's. He bedded down and they put the stalk on him again. Ron got up on him to 20 yds and stuck him again and here is the outcome. Would of been great to get on video though. |
