All, I've just purchased a K31 and need some data. Thus far, I know I can use .284 brass and resize it for the rifle. But, could anyone tell me what bullet diameter to purchase? I know it is extremely close to .308 but not sure if .308 bullets will do the trick. Any info. on this would be greatly appreciated.

According to my Sierra Reloading manual #2 the .308 bullets should be OK, but they suggest for you to slug your barrel to make sure of the caliber.

Thanks Critter, I think I'll have to buy the Sierra guide as well. I currently have the Speer #12, but it doesn't list any info. for this paticular rifle. I don't suppose you could suggest a bullet to use? I've seen Hornady and Sierra both have matchgrade's available. Thanks.

The only time that I ever shot that round was over 30 years ago and at that time I didn't reload and I just used it for plinking. The web site for Sierra Bullets does list it as a current round that is still in their book so I would suggest that you get it and check it out. It looks like it is between the 30/40 Kraig and the 300 Savage as far as capability is concerned.
