Something I used to do:
marinate in soy or teriyaki sauce
stuff a jalapeno slice in the breast cavity
wrap the dove in bacon (use toothpicks to hold bacon)
grill over hot mesquite
EAT EM UP! :thumbsup1: |

Welcome to BGH.
Haven't shot doves in years. But used to filet out the brest's and slice them up. Then fry them and make milk gravy with them and put on toast. |

I kind of keep it simple....
Leave the breasts on the bone, wrap the whole thing in bacon, secure with a toothpick, and grill......
Or, take the dove breasts (filleted) and sautee them with a little butter and onions, salt and pepper. Add a can of cream of chicken/mushroom soup, then pour over white rice.....
Either way is easy and tasty.........
Only 16 days left here...... |
