I am new to this forum and Bear Hunting, I live in the Central valley of California and was wondering if anyone would be willing to give me some tips on where I might be successful in bear hunting in california. I have been told that up around Granitea Creek area, I am planning on hunting this bear with my 30-06, is this enough gun?

Any and all tips people would be willing to share would be greatly appreciated
