| i have two one is young the other is full out it really is a blast and i would love to have some other people tag along.... also if you have some small stands of hardwoods then maybe we can hunt them a little just trying to find as much woods as possible so my dogs can get some time in the woods this year |

Sqrlyhntr83, I wouldn't mind tagging along. I've been in Colorado Springs most my life, but just got into hunting 4 years ago. I know some good rabbit areas, but haven't found any good squirrel areas yet. I'm hoping to take my daughter and nephews down towards Lamar next weekend, October 24th. May be going to Buena Vista for snowshoes and cottontails mid- November. If you know of a place or want to look at the maps and see if we can find something let me know. I also heard Florence SWA has rabbit and squirrel hunting, probably an hour drive from sw Springs. I'll be calling DOW Monday to try to talk to the game warden or biologist for that area and see if it's any good. Let me know if you plan anything.

just saw this reply... sorry about delay going to have to wait till the big game seasons are out DOW says you can hunt sm game with dogs durring big game seasons so we can work around those.. rampart has squirrel and we can hunt just of the trails for easier walking..... we will get together soon
