| Has anyone noticed the size of the racks this year? Looks like this will be the year to take a trophy in Indiana. Archery season started October 1 but still kind of warm. |

| Can anyone tell me when the rut is going to be in Indiana this year? I am hunting in November 12-16 in Marshall County. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Jim |

My quess is the rut will be the last week in october and first week of november. We have hit a cold spell and as of the week end I started finding territorial scrapes. I am hunting the south western corner of Fayette county.
Good Luck! |

| I would guess the peak of the rut to be a little earlier than normal this year. It usually falls around the middle of November (in Southern Indiana where I hunt), however I believe it will be a week or so earlier this year. I am finding several boundary scrapes already and actually grunted a buck in the other day. |

I have seen two different bucks chasing does this last week. I also heard of a scrub eight point taken saturday morning that was very swollen. Another hunter said he witnessed a couple of bucks sparring this weekend.
The weather has been to warm for me to get excited too much. I believe the rut is comming in but would guess that it is the smaller bucks getting a little jumpy.
Hope everyone filles their tags, Good Luck!
