the hunt is not for a trophy lion, but an excess of lions, both male and female are present. i will try for a 3-5 year old male and settle for a lioness if the last day approaches without a male. the daily rate totals $3,500 (if you follow lion hunting prices, this is unbelievable, and the trophy fee is $11,000 for a male, $4,00 for a female, if successful). i snapped this one up as i will never be able to afford a trophy lion hunt ($50-70,000). my wife is not even too unhappy either!! :thumbsup1: this will take place in the east central part of namibia near the kalahari. i will take my .375 h&h with 300 gr nosler partition bullets. if all goes well, i might also get a red hartebeest and a caracal. the price for a lioness is a bit more than some of the mountain lion hunts i have seen, although the airfare is steeper. ::-k but it is a hunt in africa. :thumbsup1:

I don't care what lion you get, they are all trophies.

Anytime you hunt something that can eat you it is an adventure.

I saw "lion hunt" and "problem" and wondered how that could be possible. Sounds like an awesome trip! Don't forget to post the photos!

the hunt is for ten days and it came up on another hunting forum. this is relatively short notice, so like other sudden problem animal or cancellation hunts, time to respond is limited and depends on what you have availble. i am fortunately able to schedule my time off almost when i want it. you have to cruise the hunting forums regularly to find these. this one was on accuratereloading.com. 8-)

that was my question, in your post you say that you couldnt pay 50-75k for a lion hunt, but 3500 x 10 plus a male trophy fee of 11,000 comes to 46k without airfare. I could also be reading your post wrong. I am by no means calling you out, just curious thats all. Please don't take offense.

the 3500 is for the 10 days (350/day) usual lion rates are 800-1200 per day.
