I just seem to love the feel and design of the Ruger #1. Have been interested in single shot and double rifles since my youth. Reading to many tall tales of Africa, and India. Born to late for the kind of hunting that would justify, owning double rifles and such, the cost is also a factor. Just my thoughts.
