I found this sad:
'Shock' band vows onstage suicide
Sad because the euthanasia debate has sunk so low that is now fodder for concert revelers.
The lead band member has a good quote though.
If you can die for your country, why can't you die for yourself? |

I think it's sad that someone would want to take their own life.
I think it's disgusting that someone would want to exploit that to further their own career.
But the worst part is what a commentary this is about what our society has become -- that there's a lot of people out there that are interested in this for entertainment. This kind of thing reminds me of the last days of Rome, and makes wonder where we're headed if society is becoming morally bankrupt. |

Yeah anyway you look at it, there was nothing good about that article. I was pretty suprised when I saw it in the headlines.
While I would support euthanasia in some cases, this stunt does nothing to help anyone and is disgusting profiteering. Its sad the person wants to die, sad that somebody wants to make a buck off of it, and sad that people would pay to watch.
