Always play the wind (call into the wind) and try to get an elevated position where visibility for approaching predators is good. Sneak in and get concealed well preferably with a tree or brush at your back. Minimize movement and don't overcall. A good method I've picked up is to call for about thirty seconds and then silence for five minutes. Repeat this for at least twenty minutes and up to forty five minutes. Sometimes it can take awhile for a coyote or bobcat to come in. For coyotes their pairing up right now so try female invitation howls to bring in an amorous male or a challenge howl to bring in a male defending his territory. Bobcats can be very sneaky. I blew a chance at one last Saturday after calling with intermittent howls and rabbit distress. Got up to leave and glanced behind me and fifteen yards away coming right in behind was a nice big bobcat. He was facing directly at me and while I whirled to bring my rifle up he spun and was gone johnson.

Wind is important if they smell you their gone. Visibility is important. Don't over call.

Good luck!

Thanks CVC, it's what I love doing. Will be heading out Saturday again leaving at 5:00 am and won't be back home till at least 7:00 pm. And, the thing is it will likely seem to go by in a flash.

SoCoKHntr pretty much gave you a coyote hunting 101 class...the only thing I would add is to never give up, because it's a learning process. Don't get discouraged if you're not calling many coyotes in initially...one day it will click and you'll be hooked!
