| Does anyone out there have any information in regards to how well the Remington Model 700 VTR in the .223 caliber shoots. I am looking at doing a prairie dog hunt in 2009 and am looking to purchase the right gun for the trip. I appreciate any and all information. |

Welcome.
I am sure it is a nice gun, but i don't have any experience with it. Savage also makes some nice accurate guns too. |

| Used about everything on them and prefer a tricked out AR 15, less reloads, faster follow up shots. Any good old ol 223 bolt gun will do it. Just pick a maker and run with it. |

| I don't much about the Remington you asked of but can tell you that the Savage varmint rifles are well made and accurate. My Model 12 in .223 will hold a 1moa group at 600y if I do my part. |
