OK, so I have to ask, what's the deal with a bear's penile bone? My brother just got back from Manitoba where he took a nice black bear with his bow and he brought back the 'swizzle stick.' What's up with this???

Beats me. I'll tell you what I think though, if I did prize a bear's "swizzle stick", its not something I'd announce in public. :wink:
But hey, what do I know, maybe I'm warped.

| I've read that oriental cultures prize certain parts of the bear & will make concoctions out of them (or dried & pulverized), because they believe it gives them strength & powers that only come from that animal. Some also believe that certain organs in an animal have healing powers. |

| The Native Americans did too...I can't remember what they did with the bear pee-pee but they always saved it. |

| Went hunting up in Ontario 2 years ago with a couple. The lady shot her first bear (a small boar) and took the unit in question here and said she was going to put it on her key-chain? |
