getting closer to hunting season once again. Sent in my app. for Or. and tags for Ca. Where are you all going this year or are you just staying close to home? Does anybody on this board hunt Ca.? Have a good one..........

Staying close to home, applied for an elk tag this year in CO, but haven't heard yet on the status.
Ontarget, you hunt in Oregon, did you get in on that computer fisaco last year? |

| No, I had no problems last year with them. Been applying for an Or. elk tag for the last three years, hopefully I'll get lucky this year. |

| what part of oregon are you trying to get your elk tag in? i was out yesterday for blacktail and saw a nice six point roosevelt. of course, i won't tell you where beyond that it is in an area where you can use the general season tags. i bought my general tag today and hope to have that six pointer come opening day. |

i have heard good things about that unit. good luck.
i'll be out in search of that six pointer bright and early on 10/19. can't wait. i ran across a bunch of cows just down the canyon from where i saw him the first time. probably all part of the same herd. well, if the Blacktails won't cooperate atleast i can sit a dream about that elk. |

| I do my blacktail hunting in Southern California. I have hunted them for two years now and have been fortunate in getting one each year. |
