Horrible huh?! Ran into one miserable covey between zones, D-8-D-10. Soo Sad. Hit an ultimate low point this year but hopefully that means next year will have some moderate holds. How has anyone else done?

Did you guy's have a wet spring there too? They are saying that two wet ones in a row knocked out our birds. Probably take three to four years to get going again. Local rancher thinks its also the loss of cheat grass. He hasn't seen a bird all year on his place. They used to see hundreds a day.

Thing that really puzzles me is that even with birds at an all time low, F&G here did not lower the bag nor shorten the season, business as usual!

You are absolutely right. Politics over rule any good that F an G could make sense out of. Season should be closed and I would be all for it. I think I got 2 quail this year. I've found a covey or two out here in the tehachapi desert area, but I'm too disappointed to shoot. They need all the encouragement they can get anyways. Still looking for these pigs that are such a huge "nuissance" out here. Anyways pard, keep me updated if you hear anything and vice versa
