Hi Guys,
Never been sheep hunter here. I'm in the planning stages of a 2009 Dall sheep hunt in AK. I want it all, drop dead scenery, challenging hunt, lots of game around and the opportunity to take a good ram :thumbsup1: . For you guys with experience there I'm looking for some advice on specific hunting units and guide services. Pics of the area would be great!
I've very much enjoyed reading on this forum and have learned a good bit especially from the stories of your hunts posted here. I hope I'll have one to tell post year!
Thanks ~JD |

| All I know about Dall sheep is that I want to hunt them some day. If you beat me to it - let me (us) know how it goes (story, pics, info, tips, etc.) !!! |

| Thanks for the leads. After doing a lot of research and asking a lot of questions I've decided I cannot afford to do this hunt right now. I was able to find a freelance type guide who was experienced, highly reccomended and reasonably priced. But after adding it all up, airfare and all, it was going to run around $10,000. Couldn't find a way to justify that right now with our financial situation. I've re-grouped and am now headed to Colorado for my first elk hunt, a DIY hunt. Have learned tons, and am totally psyched. We'll see how me and my hunting partner do in the draw. |
