I am thinkin about trying to hunt black bear with a bow this year. In PA you must have on orange during season. Are there any sugestions, or anything I may need to know while I prepare for the season. Oh and baiting is illegal.

| Know your bear anatomy, shoot for center of the bear and you be right in the zone. Getting close is the key. In Oregon baiting and useing dogs is illegal, so extra stealth, patience and knowing habitat, etc. are extreamely important. They don't see well at all, but will smell you before you'll ever see them as they are constantly sniffing the air. As long as your comfortable with your bow setup and know your limitations you'll have a nice bruin rug before you know it. |
