| Hi all, I'm new to this forum and thank you for the great information here. I booked my first caribou hunt this year in Nunavut with Silak Adventures. I met Mark at an out door show and was impressed with what I saw . Does anyone have any info/opinions about this outfitter/ I am scheduled for Sept 20th-26t,.2009 Any suggestions on what clothing to bring etc.? Any help would be appriciated this has been a dream of mine for many years. |

Your outfitter (personaly do not know them)should supply you with all the pertinant information for what you need to bring.
Definetly have BUG protection!! It IS going to rain on you. If you are walking and the ground gets "squishy" DO NOT STOP and reasses where you are going. Speed up and turn course back to solid ground. Muskeg can be deep and smelly besides being very wet.

the 20th of september no more BLACKFLIES [thank god] we fly up around that date ,the bulls have all lost they're velvet ,the antlers are beautiful ..i have a BROWNING suit and it covers the temperature [rain ,snow, and hail ..] don't forget ur GPS ..it is a must up there ,very easy to get lost .. |
