Called both these bad boys in. Hunting in the great state of Washington. Spike only unit. Shot both within an hour and a half. |

Most people whi I knew that had September Tags are crying the blues. Full moon and lots of hot weather kept the big bulls in the dark timber.
Of the 6 people I knew with tags only 4 got their bull. The biggest was 370 and the others were in the 340 range.
The 4th of October I'm off with a spike & cow tag and we'll see if I can fill the freezer. I hope this high pressure moves off and we get some colder weather by then. |

| I just got home last night. We shot a couple of spikes and were able to see 50-60 elk a day. The elk are very high and stayed in the dark timber, probably for the shade and coolness. A lot of hunters I saw were complaining of not seeing any elk. But they were there if got in and pushed them out of their beds.. |

| Heres my 5x5 I knocked down yesterday, has some decent width. Girlfriend got some pics at home but lost them trying to download them, hopefully they can be found as I really wanted to show front shot not a bad pic at all for a cell phone A good 5 though. Was by myself and called in for back up to help finish the pack. |
