I am slated for a early Nov bow hunt at Willow pt. As I understand it the majority of the island was underwater this last spring.

Since this is a Mississippi oxbow Island it seems to me that it will take a # of years for the deer to recover, so I am considering cancelling for this year.

Does anyone have any first hand info on the status of the recovery and any perspective on this type of situation?
