| You take all the precautions to be "scentless" but start sweating getting to, or sitting on your stand. How do you keep cool while bear hunting in hot weather ? |

| slow down going into the stand, be methodical and deliberate, stop often. Don't wear your hat while walking to your stand. take a wash cloth with you, wipe down, and store it away in a zip lock bag, apply scent cover and then get up in your stand. |

blackbear-
I can almost bet that I am the sweatyest guy you could ever meet. Not that I'm out of shape, mind you, but I tend to sweat like a whore in church even under the most relaxed circumstances. It has taken me years to learn how to combat this problem. I would follow syndeis's advice. Dont feel hurried to get to your hunting spot. Feeling hurried makes you panic to a certain extent and then you start to worry about sweating because you feel hurried. Take deep deliberate breaths and realize that you will eventually get to your spot. Its better to get to the spot a bit late than to get there on time and be sweaty. Personally, I swear by Under Armor Warm Gear base layers. They are a bit expensive but one set is all you need. I even use them to an extreme and wear only the base layers and my boots until I get to my blind or stand. When I actually get to my destination is when I dress myself in scent blocking clothing. My hunting buddies think I'm crazy.....but I'm never the one sweating when we hunt! |

Under Armor heat gear is awesome. I use it for hunting and for competition shooting. I also swear by it. It is air conditioning you wear. :thumbsup1: |
