| I broke down and simi-retired my Remington 742, 30.06. Hard to do as it has taken Elk and ground squriels in the same seasons. Nothing wrong with it, just had the bug. I like auto loaders so I dont want to here about how great bolts are, I know they shoot farther and better. The shots I take are almost always withing 250 so the auto is fine. I also changed cal. and went to a 308. never shot one, but I here/know its a good one placed right. I hunt muleies from Calif to Washington and Arz. My replacement is a new Remington 750, anybody have one? |
