| Factory ammo or reloading? I am assuming Factory and would think Rem Corelokt would be good or if premium factory ammo is sought Federal or Hornady high energy's pushing Nosler or Trophy Bonded Bear Claws. |

| I shot a bear with an 06 using 180 gr nosler partitions high energy. Not sure if you need that much fire power but, I happen to be elk hunting at the same time. The shot I took was a quartering away shot and got him in the lungs and off shoulder. He only went about 25 yrds. |
