Mostly used for birds and small animal hunting day and night. Range from 100-200 yards max. Need accurate shooting as area is urban. Looking at Bushnell and Nikon and seems too pricey. Any used sites and suggestions on other manufactures and pros and cons???
Thanks

Hello and welcome to BGH forum.
Are you shooting air rifle or a firearm?? If it's for a firearm I'll give you some stern but friendly advise: Never discharge a firearm in an urban area or any place where there is a good chance of hitting houses, people, or pets. Uless you are defending a life. If you do, you are going to end up in more hot water than you can afford to handle, not to mension the trouble you will have caused to someone and their loved ones. There is a reason why we have gun safety commandments. Shooting birds in urban areas is very irresponsible and unnessesary. Also any animal that requires a scope to hunt can't be legally hunted at night anyway.

I have a huge problem with rangefinders on scopes. There is just way too much temptation for undisciplined shooters to want to range everything they see through the scope and you should never point a firearm at anything that you do not intend to shoot. Scopes serve one perpose only and that is to aim the firearm and nothing else. You should never glass anything through a mounted rifle scope. Certainly never point the muzzle at anything that you don't intend to shoot. For safety sake, do not ever discharge a firearm in an urban area!!!

If you are using an air rifle, still use extream caution in a urban area. I think you would be best off just using a seperate hand held rangefinder.

I think WH has a valid concern here. Please tell us what your putting this on and using it on. 100-200 yds in a urban area is a long way.
