I drew the unit 31 deer hunt in Idaho this year and was wondering if anyone had any experience hunting november in this area. I've looked into the Cecil Andrus management area and the biologist told me that "there were not any 26 inch plus deer there". I'm in need of some realno B.S. advice to help supplement my scouting trips...

| First, pray for some snow storms to come through and start pushing the deer down. Then, get a boat and start scouting from the Brownlee reservoir side of the unit. When the deer start to move down, you should be able to find a decent buck from the reservoir. We saw a batchelor band of three bucks last week not 200 yds from the water. The biggest was a nice 4x4, probably 27". Good luck! |
