The long suffering wife listened to her husband tell her he wanted to take all the money with him when he died.
A while later at his funeral, the casket was about to be closed when the wife went over and put a small metal box inside.
Her friend declared; you didn't put all the money in there did you?
The wife replied, I closed all the accounts except one and put every penny we had into one account. I then wrote out a check and put it in the metal box. If he can cash it, he can spend it. |
