I'm new to muzzleloading. I received as a christmas present a Traditions 50 Cal. Since it didn't come with instructions I am left to search the internet for layman terms information on how-to. So far i'm still trying to figure out what accesories i need. I of course have yet to fire said rifle and deer season in PA is fast approaching. If anybody knows of links to a not to technical website i would appreciate a post. I will be looking forward to lots of valuable information to come.

Kenny,
Welcome to the sport of black powder shooting/hunting. I've got a small site that I set up after having the same problem, of not quite knowing where to start. Since then my interest in black powder as grown, but I suggest you go to my site and follow the muzzleloader link. I've got a couple of "not so technical" articles that I think will help you get started. If you have an specific questions email or post them here.
Good luck.

Kenny, a few months ago we ran a Beginner's Guide to muzzleloader hunting. You will probably find it useful.
Good Luck! |
