| My son and daughter just drew for rifle, early Oct. elk in the Valle Vidal. This is a "once in a lifetime hunt" and is their first time hunting. I haven't hunted NM before, but I understand that this is one of the best elk hunts in the nation. I plan on asking game and fish, forestry, etc. about the area, but was wondering if anyone had info on the area. |

| Thanks. Even though I'm not shooting, I'm real excited for my kids. |

Really good hunt!!! The bulls should still be bugling. I've guided in the Valle Vidal for many years and have had great success in harvesting good bulls. Is you hunt guided or is it a DIY hunt.?
