| Regardless of the retoric from both sides, I haven't heard any hints that it will be coming back in the near future. And no one in the Gov't will ever have the spine to admit they made a mistake. Even in the Sudbury district that so far this summer has 1/3 of the provinces nuisance bear complaints, nothing is being said. |

They have been talking around here(Sudbury) It was on the news the other day that the bearwise program is a failure. I think you might be wrong about this one bill its either bring back the spring bear hunt or thier gonna be in for a rude awakening. As for the bear complaints Im not sure exactally how many have been neutralized but around here its getting worse everyday. People are waking up to go to work and bears are in there trees. 2 camps were broken into this past week both with the occupants inside. What honestly is it going to take for the government to see they are wrong.
I guess once 2 or three people die in thier homes or cottages or even worse berry pickers then they will see they are wrong.
Or perhaps they'll wait till they need to cull them.
Whatever the decision they make is Im sure they will wait till the last second also. |

We have the same problem here in Cochrane.
MNR's own biologist were against closing of the spring hunt. It's just for the constituents in Toronto who raised stink about mama bear could be shot and leave the poor cubs starving to death. That is pure BS. According to the stats, there is MAYBE one incident per year with orphaned cubs!!
Even the former MNR minister who was my MPP couldn't buck his party.
Maybe we should drop some of the bears in Queens Park. That would wake them up....LOL..
ahhh... just venting...lol |

| Ahh well I guess when you think about it we aren't sitting on the board so what we say dosen't matter, they say it does, but behind closed doors the politicians dont give 2 shits about what we say. Its actually the tree huggers that had the law passed and from what I've seen all orphaned bears dont die. They just say that for more votes, and has anyone noticed how the videos and documents are either of starving bears in cities or some bs fabricated stuff they make up and crop from other videos or they catch some idiot doing something and use that making everyone think we are all that way. For instance look at steven harper he said what canada needed to hear to get voted in and what has he done for small communities and farmers, thats right nothing. I can't stand the conservatives or what they stand for or the liberals for that matter (carbon tax) You know where he can shove that eh. |
