| I noticed that Kentucky archery deer season begins in early September, while here in Indiana it is in October. Since I live close by, I am considering hunting early in Kentucky. Does anyone know of any public hunting locations in Kentucky near Evansville, Indiana? Thanks. |

| I also found a couple spots to check out from the Kentucky wildlife website, Sloughs WMA and Green River State Forest, both in Henderson County. |

Higginson Henry is 5,700 acres of Public ground outside of Morganfield (Archery only for deer)
15" spread minimum for Bucks
I hunted it some last year, saw plenty of deer. Only bad thing about early Sept. is it can still be in the 80's or even low 90's for temps. |
