By SARA KUGLER, Associated Press Writer

NEW YORK - Former President Clinton said Thursday he is eager to campaign for Barack Obama whenever the Democrat needs him, but has not given any thought to whether he wants to speak at the party convention in Denver.

Don't know, but I am sure he'll be as much help to Obama as he was his own wife. I think Bill was a big factor in Hillary losing.

This may be just Bill talking to the press trying to stay relevant and foster the idea that he's still the big power player in the Democratic party. He's always been an attention junkie who can't go five minutes without trying to make things about him. He's like a 60 year old Paris Hilton, showing up at parties around Hollywood shamelessly posing her wrinkly body in skimpy outfits on red carpets, hinting about an alleged sex tape about to hit the internet -- anything to keep her pictures in the tabloids.

Your probably right, Ex, its just his megalomania acting up.

I'll give Carter one thing, he seems to be an activist ex-president that truly seems to want to make things better not for his own interests but for the interest of solving a problem. Now, I'm not saying Carter is or isn't misguided just that he is using his post-presidency as advocating change on various positions. In contrast, Clinton is about Clinton advocacy.
