Hello from Germany!
Since today I'm a happy man. On monday I got my Marlin 336 CS lever action rifle in .30-30 and today I was able to grab one box of the famous Hornady Leverlution .30-30. So I only have to go out at the range for testing and then can start hunting on any game in my hunting ground.
It was really difficult to get these hornady cartridges here in GE, but finally I found a store which had them available.
ASAP I have been successful I'll give a report.
Regards

Bavaria is a state (province) in Germany.
Congrats on the rifle, now if it was only a Winchester. :D
So did you have to import the rifle specifically for yourself?
With the Euro to Dollar translation I think the balance is in your favor. |

Hello,
no the gun had not to be imported specially. Germany is no gun desert. We have a stricter gun law as you there in the USA, but when you have a german lifetime hunting licence you are allowed to buy any longrifle except fullauto and the ammo you need. Furthermore you are allowed to buy 3 short arms.
I bought the rifle second hand, but in top condition. Looks like it was never shooten.
I post a few pics from Bavaria here.

| Great to hear that about gun ownership in Germany. Congratulations on your new purchase. Those are beautiful pictures. I've always thought that southern part of Germany is the most beautiful. You Germans still make the best Marzen lager and Hefe-weissbier :thumbsup1: |

| Boy I loved Bavaria! I notice in Kiserslautern (sp) that there were plenty of guns shops that had some really beautiful guns! |

Hi numbnutz!
I already mounted a 4x32 scope on it, but was not able to sight it in yet. Maybe tommorrow. ASAP I'll give a report. I'm planing to use it at 1st of august when the big red deer bucks are open here in the Bavarian Alpes.

Hi Don,
so you was stationed in Kaiserslautern. During my time in the German Army I was several times at Baumholder Training Area. I was company commander of a armored infantry company, the guys with the "Marders".
How long have you been there?
