I have hunted white tail in the Black Hills now for several years. I have 2 years of pref points for a west river mule deer hunt, but I need to pick which unit I'm going to hunt.
#1- Anyone know of any counties that have nice public ground and Mule deer?
#2- Anyone know any landowners who are dying to have me cull their herds?
Any info you provide would be helpful.
Thanks,

| I'm from Colorado and headed to Harding county this fall for rifle season. In 35A there is a lot of Mule Deer and public land and 35C is much the same |

I sent in my tag for Butte, which is just south of Harding. We'll see how it goes!! Lots of public land there as well.

My usual Tripp County Mule/whitetail hunt fell through this year, so I think I'm going to focus on speed goats, archery deer and fall turkey. Good luck all!
