Hello from Germany!
I'm planing to buy a Marlin Mod.1895 in .30-30. The problem is that the cartridge with the flat nose bullets won't be able to reach the 100 meter energy of 2000 J/1468 ftlbs which are ruled by law in Gemany. But I have heard that there is a new .30-30 available with a plastic spitzer bullet, that delievers better aerodynamic and makes the bullet faster, so that it reaches the above noted mark. Does anybody know whats the name of the new cartridge and who is the producer?
Regards

Hi Remington,

| No but I hear its the latest and greatest. A dear firend killed a black bear (300lbs) with it last year and said it was thru and thru. I personally like 170 grain Nosler Partitions in the 30-30. Best of luck. |
