| Just wondering what the rquirements for blaze orange are for WY for antelope season. Ive heard just a hat or hat and vest. Thanks |

| For rifle season, a hat or a vest. You don't need both in order to be legal. |

A hat or vest, but depending on where you're hunting I'd suggest both. I was mule deer hunting near Saratoga on public ground and there were lots of hunters so I wore both. It is amazing how quickly you can pick out that blaze orange and identify a hunter.
I'd be set up on a ridge glassing and even with the naked eye see that blaze orange moving in front of me in my line of fire. The other hunter didn't know I was there up on the ridge, but I knew he was there.

Hey Folks!
I have both a hat and a vest but my hat is a Real Treecap with a brown bill. Does this meet the state requirements? Or does the whole hat have to be orange? Thanks! YH |

Question
Does camouflage blaze orange clothing satisfy the Wyoming Game and Fish Department hunter orange requirement for big game hunting?
Answer
Yes, it does. Both camo and solid orange garments are legal. Wyoming law requires that big or trophy game hunters must wear at least one garment (hat, coat, jacket, vest etc.) of fluorescent orange color. Camo orange fits this qualification. |
