i saw a thing about this in field and stream a couple years ago, is it wishful thinking? anyone know the deal? what states and all that

Some states do offer NR archery tags over-the-counter. That I'm aware of, all states and provinces rifle tags are draw only. Some states like Wyoming might have some leftovers but you're going to need to hurry to get them. WY G&F's # (307) 777-4600.
