I was at Lowe's today and they had a selection of knee pads much cheaper than Cabela's. They even had a soft camo knee pad for $13.00. This is the one I purchased. It is light weight and should offer enough protection when I'm crawling on my hands and knees.

CVC,

Do they have any hard plastic part especially at the knee cap? YH

Yep, they had a variety of styles, only the soft kind in camo.

OK.....I will have to stop by and check them out this week since I am in their parking lot about every morning meeting my guys to get their paperwork. Man, I wish they had the camo with the hard shell knee protector. The soft ones are decent but when crawling across rock and in my case cement it's nice to have the added protection. I'm sure cactus, briars and other prickly things could be quite painful. I have even thought about wearing an athletic cup, a sticker in the family jewels can be quite painful.... or :o

I bought mine through Dillion. They are the tatical ones. I vote for the ones with plastic caps. Crawling through rock, cactus and mud is no time to save $10..

Just my .02

OK,

Received my knee pads from a vendor on Ebay. They are entirely in the outfitters camo pattern that Cabelas' developed. got 'em for a total of $20 and some change. Now if I can only find an athletic cup to match,,,,,,

CVC,

We will be there Sep. 25th - Oct. 1st. CAN"T WAIT! I have been shooting for 2 months now and have both my 7mm mag and my .270 dialed in for long range. Of course, I will have to rezero when we get there but that is par for the course........ :thumbsup1:
