Hi guys,
I'm gettin ready to go hunt some public land again at Laguna Mountain in the next few weeks. I've been there a few times, but I've always gone up to the top part with the "pond" that's dried out now. I was wondering if anyone has been to the creek at Laguna or any other part of the land? any success? I've heard that there's a waterfall or two when you follow the creek in all the way. Any success there?
Thanks for all your help.

The trail marked in green on my map is a piece of cake, except for the very first part of the trail near the parking area. What I do is walk out to the end of the green line during the darkness of early morning and then glass the area on the other side of the creek that is still BLM land. Nowadays there isn’t much sense in glassing private land. There are usually a few guys camping at the trail head with RV’s and other vehicles. I find it amazing how they can fit that many vehicles into such a small area. Those guys will be out there scouting all night too, especially now that the temperatures are well over 100 degrees up here.

Good luck, the hogs are smart, but they still have to move to their beds after feeding all night.

A cheap GPS could save you a lot in court costs, but you can navigate by looking at the terrain. If the BLM Boundary is still in the same place as it was 20 years ago, it will pass through the Creek in Miller Canyon somewhere near (N 36.34461, and W 120.82583) in WGS84 Decimal Degrees.

Here is a map of the Boundary:

Good luck,
