| I can't see why it wouldn't work but the firearm is probably not the ideal choice because of weight and size. |

| I have not used a Desert Eagle, but I do have a LAR Grizzly in 45 Win Mag that is a great round for deer, hogs and black bear. But the main problem I see, in some States is, they don't allow semi-auto handguns for hunting. :[-X |

the weight actually helps cut down the recoil. the 357mag barely kicks more than a standard 9 mil. |

I prefer a heavier handgun. My 460 and 500 Mag X-frames work just fine for hunting.
ChesterGolf, how can the weight and size make it, not the ideal choice ??? ::-k |

While weight may decrease recoil, you still have to carry the firearm as well as aim the gun, and as for the physical size of the handgun, the large receiver of the desert eagle is too large for most size hands to easily grip. Do you feel the desert eagle is the ideal choice of handgun for hunting??? |

It may not be the ideal choice for some, but it will work. I believe my 7.5 inch 460 Mag out weighs the desert eagle. Also if that is the only gun one has, what other choice does he have? Other than buy a different gun.
I guess we see it differently, I happen to have big hands and big guns are not a problem for me, even doing off hand shooting. :thumbsup1: |
