Vice Presidente is not 12 rounds. Its 2 to each body, reload, 1 to each head. Properly done at 10 yards, targets spaced three yards apart and shot from concealment. If you are doing it in 3.5 seconds you have a bright future ahead in the shooting sports.
El Presidente is shot with the same target array and distance, also from concealment with 2x2x2, Reload, 2x2x2. |

| Depending on what you carry it for, the .45 is really on good for accuracy at 50 yrds, and because the barrel is short with a loaded mag, it makes it a little akward. I prefer my SW 9mm (ladies), or better yet, a good 22 as far as accuracy, I have 2 colt 1911's, but when I mean business, I want my 9mm or a good 22  |

Ryan,
Your smith is an excellent gun. I also have one in addition to my two custom Colt 1911's. Your problem with the sticky slide release will allmost assuredly go away as you break the pistol in. The more you shoot it, the easier it will get. Remington gave you some excellent advice on using the over the top slide technique. In addition to being a more reliable way to drop the slide after reloading it is also the same motion used to clear malfunctions in what are called "tap-rack-roll" drills. Using the same motions and techniques to do as many things as possible simplify's defensive shooting and makes one more effective during the actual stress of using a handgun for real. Hope this helps you |
