I love big trips like my black bear hunt . . . for the longest time, its seems like it's 6 months away, and then BOOM, it's here! My first black bear hunt (took a 1200 lb. moose with 60" spread on a self hunt in 2004 in GMU 23 in Alaska). Can't wait to see the country (around Greenwater Provincial Park / Lake Marean), the bears, and if my practice and plan goes as I expect, a big bruin's chin in the dirt (sorry to be indelicate). My Mathews Drenalin, set at 65 #, with Easton carbon/aluminum, tipped with Slick Trick 125 magnums has been flying tight inside 1 1/2 inch at 25-30 yards. Accounting for a tad of adrenalin, I should be in good shape . . . :o
I'll bring a report and pics back the week of May 19th upon our return to Alabama.
