| Hammer1, did you ever reload your spitzer 22 mags? I remember you were trying something and since you're still around you didn't blow yourself up yet! ::neener: |

I posted a pic of the 22Super Hammer mag back in Aug of last year (reloading section). You commented too.
But here it is again: Case: 22 win mag
Propellent: Don't know ( but there is now **% more
40 gr Hornady Ballistic tip
Overal length : Classified
Case trim length: Restricted
I got to get a Chrono and do some serious calculating. One thing I know for sure is that they will go through more softwood planks that the retail stuff :thumbsup1:
MAY I PRESENT TO YOU THE 22 SUPER HAMMER MAG  |

I didn't have to modify a die but that is about the only thing I didn't have to change several times. Nothing works right at first and there is no reference point or manual to point you in the right direction.
I should be posting this in reloading instead of hijacking a thread in Firearm section ::-k Sorry... Gone.... |

| You are right Hammer, I split this topic off the original. Which set of dies did you end up using, 22 hornet? |

Yup, 22 Hornet, easiest to get too.
Cases are quite another story. You would think that all 22 mag cases are the same, well think again, rim thickness can vary greatly within the same box of fifty.
Some just can't be used. I tried Federal,CCI and Winchester. Winchester most consistent cases, but I think the powder charges were weighed by a two year old.
OAL & Seating Depth..Ended up shortening the bullet by about .002 so a live round could eject and fit in clip while still maintaining a "safe" seating depth.
Very tedious and time consuming. And it is probably going to be different for every rifle.
I got about 25 various loads(15 cartridges each) ready for testing and that is not even a tenth of what I will have by the time I.m finished   Who am I kidding, I'll never be finished :](*,) |
