I got to say that it almost sounds like you don't exactly intend to control these dogs and recover them after your hunts.....sounds like a good way to get people pissed off with you. No offence just stating what first came to my mind.

here in Oregon your not allowed to run dogs on deer...or any big game. I think if I had a pack of dogs run threw me land chasing deer, There'ld be a few less hounds running loose.

It's illegal to run deer with hounds here in wisconsin also but just because you don't run deer (or any big game for that matter) does that make it wrong? Also with the "any big game comment" I suppose that you think that it is wrong to run bear with hounds also. I'm not trying to be a **** but when an animal is being run by hounds it's not as simple as just walking up to an animal and shooting it.

I understand all about the "chase" and how hunting hounds work. Dont really have a problem with hunting dogs at all....as long as they are some what controled. They use hounds locally for bobcat and other varmin. Hunting with hounds, for big or small game is not the issue. If it was legal, Ild use dogs when I hunt.
But I still stand by my statement....any hounds running loose on my properity have a chance of becoming plant food. Now if the hunter has permission to hunt on my land, and its his dogs running threw my yard....I would think different. But having some Joe turn a pack of hounds lose, and not worry about where they run/hunt, that aint right. |

Hold on you guys. I haven't seen anything to suggest that the poster would be doing any of these things. He's simply looking for pups. Lets get off this side track!
