Here is a lion story a little closer to home.

They have been talking about Mountain Lion sightings in central and southern Illinois and Missori for decades with an increase over the last decade. Almost mimicing the Eastern increase.

Well they've always said no body no crime..

well we finally go the body. Its more than a year old but I had just ran across it after doing some research on the growing sightings in the Midwest.

In addition to that the location of the kill was at 22 on this link

This would hold true to the river migration theory. Who knows return of the whitetail ...return of its predetors.... might make for some good hunting in a few decades. Let it also be noted that the Bobcat in Illinois was onve thought to be virtually extict in that range has now been taken off of the endangered state species list.

My God !!!!
I woulda crapped my pants. No doubt about it.
That obstructed shot should have never been taken on any animal and certainly not one as deadly as a Lion.

Holy Snikes....Littman! Thanks for sharing.

Its a wonder the lion didn't kill someone.

Its a wonder they didn't kill each other in the confusion.

Litt... I'm with Bit, That's one messed up lion hunt!! That man that made that awful shot should have never climbed out of bed.

Terrible shot on a lion equals lion charging potentially taking off a persons head and then just about getting shot by your buddies

If I was that guy and after an episode like that, I would really reconsider ever hunting with a group of moron people, and consider spending more time at the shooting range after I clean out my drawers!!

is this the same story/video of the great lion hunt where there are 4 people with guns and they all shoot at the lion but he runs straight at them and knocks down the hunter who shot at him first then runs away with them all shooting at him?
