Had a question that I wanted to throw around. I had heard from a buddy of mine that Hodgson Retumbo powder dosent perform in extreame cold conditions as well as in warmer weather. Has any body else heard this or is this the first? I use the heck out of this powder in my .300 RUM, never had a problem with it but I guess I havent tested it in extreame cold. Around 0 degrees F. is the coldest that I've killed critters at, just wornding let me know what you guys have heard. thanks.

Retumbo is in the extreme line of Hodgdon powders are are made specifically to perform in extreme hot and cold temps. I use it exclusively in my 300 RUM and couldn't be happier with the results. You will not find a better powder for that caliber in my opinion. :thumbsup1:

Hey chester, if you dont mind me asking what bullets are you using for that RUM? I've benn using the 200gr partition but have been thinking of going with a lighter bullet to get a little more speed out of it. Got any you like?

I am using the 180 gr. barnes tsx. I really like the performance of this bullet and it is super accurate.
