| Good article. An awful lot of people aren't aware of how serious tick-born diseases can be, and an awful lot of tick-born diseases go undiagnosed until it is too late or get misdiagnosed if the doctor isn't aware of the tick bite. This article is definitely a worthwhile read. |

| Having had rocky mtn tick fever, I can say for a fact you want to make sure you remove ticks properly and check for them regularly. When I discovered a tick buried in the back of my thigh (probably had been there for at least a day) I just ripped it off, leaving the head buried in my skin, exactly the wrong thing to do. |
