Hi guys, i was planning on feeding deer behind my house with some corn from the local grain store, but before i do that will i have a proble with black bears eating the corn before the deer get to it??

| If you have bears you stand a good chance of getting hit. I've used grain many as bait and it works fine. |

if the bear can smell it, it will eat it, unless there is something more tasty, like maggots, rotten fish, compost carts etc, which usually takes preference.

| if i put out apples w/ the corn, they will smell those for sure i would think. |

| Yep. I knew a guy who put out cracked corn for deer, but the bears woud just plop down on the piles and scoop it up. Then they started damaging the turkey feeders as well. |

will moose eat the corn as well??? that is part of the reason i dont want to start a food plot, too much work to have a moose eat it all in a night. i was thinking the corn would be the way to go if the bears and the moose stay away .

| I've never had moose bother our corn the few time we've grown it but they'll hit our broccoli in a new york minute. |
